Ministry Description
We are in a creative access country and use education as our avenue for sharing the gospel. Our early childhood centers work with almost 400 local families and about 80 local staff. A small group of our staff are Christians and strive to find ways to share the gospel with families and co-workers.
Ministry Calling
While headed toward a vocation in forestry management, the Lord made it clear that I should be working with people to make eternal differences in their life. After too many years of schooling, we did 6 years of American church planting and 4 years of youth and children’s ministry. A second master’s degree qualified me to work overseas in education. For the last 20 years, we have had the privilege of working cross-culturally in Asia.
With my prior involvement in administration, I was asked to be the principal of the first two schools. As the schools grew , I jumped into the educational side. Bringing the community together outside the church movement is a priority for me as well.
Family Life
We are both babies of our families who grew up in a small town in southern Oregon and were high school sweethearts. After 40 years of marriage, 5 sons, and 10 grandkids later, we are still in love. Our boys all had a great opportunity to grow up in Asia.
We have a great partnership in our ministry. While I am the visionary, Lynda is the planner and organizer. We minister through not only bible study, but also with an intention on discipleship-making and evangelism. Our goal is to build a community of people where their lives are changed by the love of God.
