We were very excited today to get back on our projects and continue meet new people. Our team is working at the orphanage. We have been painting and sanding like crazy people. Today was a little different because the children at the orphanage weren’t as shy. They came out to see us. We shared our “American” snacks. Word spread and many more children were receptive to us. One boy in particular stole my heart. He seemed so quiet and withdrawn but when he had a fruity gummy (Drew’s favorite too) his face lit up and he started smiling a tiny bit. Then Dawson asked him to play foosball with him and Drew. He turned into a totally different kid. Smiling and laughing because he was beating them terribly.
Then when we got back we were able to relax, play games and interact with the kids here at camp. Bryan was able to teach a young boy how to shoot pool. He got so excited when he got the ball in the pocket. It really doesn’t take much to make these kids happy. We can all learn a lesson from them.
So glad yall are loving on those kids.
