After a lengthy trip through six time zones and across two continents, we arrived late Saturday evening in Harare, already having witnessed what we know are miracles of God’s handiwork. First of all, that everyone on our team was clearly chosen by God to get to come on this journey as witnessed by His provision of funds through generous supporters (many of whom are reading this : ) is something we all know we could never have accomplished on our own. And that we arrived in Zimbabwe a few minutes ahead of schedule, having had NO delays or complications, ALL our bags having arrived on time, and NO issues getting through customs and out of the airport—well, can I just get an “Amen!”?
We worshiped this morning with our fellow believers in the village of Matanha in Mhondoro, and to be with such joy-filled worshipers is something that must be experienced. Bailey shared a brief and powerful testimony with the church that encouraged all who heard it.
We feel like we’ve been here for ages (in a good way), and are so excited that the Lord still has so much more in store for us. We go into the village for a few days tomorrow, Lord willing, so we’ll be “off the grid,” blog-wise. More to come in a few days!
