Hey guys,
Sorry we haven’t written a blog in a few days. We’ve been crazy busy, having lots of fun. Here’s what we have been doing the past few days.
On Thursday we went to recess and got to know the kids better. Some of us went and painted a daycare while the others cleaned up the soccer field. We also played soccer and made bracelets with the kids.
Friday, we started out eating breakfast, eating eggs and hotdogs. After breakfast we went to recess with the kids again. After lunch, some of us came back to Curia while some of us stayed in San Jose and played soccer. In Curia, we did bible skits and crafts. Later that night, we had a movie night with the locals, watching Kung Fu Panda. It was another great day.
Today (Saturday) we ate breakfast. We had pancakes, pineapple, and eggs. It was our teams free day. We took the bus to the tourist town, called Montinita. It was a really cool experience. We just walked around, bought stuff, and tried some really good seafood salad. After a day in Montinita, we went back to Curia and all went to the beach. The waves were really big. We had pizza for dinner and Kip did a devotion about how we arent here to do good work to make ourselves feel good but to serve others for Jesus. I can’t believe its almost time for us to come home! Although I don’t want to leave I am super excited to see my family. I think we all are.
See you soon, keep praying for us.
Kaleigh

Smiling as I read this blog. So touched that each of you are selflessly giving and showing your compassion for the children and people of Ecuador. It sounds like y’all are having a good time! Enjoy the beauty of Ecuador! I cannot wait to hear your stories Carlee and see the pictures! Praying for you all and for safe travels back home!
Praying for smooth uneventful flight and travels back home! Love, Mom
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. ~Phil. 4:6
Thanks for the update Kaleigh! 🙂 Way to go Kip for rising up and leading devotion! 🙂 Praying that compassion will surpass the language barrier this weekend as you enjoy worship and fellowship there. Reminds me of that song by Sandy Patty that says “Love in any language, straight from the heart, pulls us all together, never apart, and once we learn to speak it, ALL THE WORLD will hear, LOVE in ANY language is fluently spoken here”. Just keep spreading God’s Love!
Thanks for the update Kaleigh sure was great to hear what all you guys have been doing. It brings a smile to my face just thinking about the love you are sharing with the people in Ecuador. Can’t wait to see you on Tuesday. Hugs and kisses from mom, dad, and bubba.
Wow! Sounds like you guys are having a blast! I can’t wait to hear all your stories and see pictures Carlee. We are so very proud of you at where you are with your walk with Christ. Safe travels back home and we are praying for you all.
