Day 2 in Ecuador was amazing! I have seen God working through so many different people, especially yesterday when I went to a home group. We visited an older couple who had no family here. The man told me a story about a near death experience in his life. One day, as he was climbing a tree in the mountains, he fell and landed on a stick, which went straight up the middle of his body. He explained that he felt very blessed that God has chosen to allow him to live and felt lucky to have such an amazing God watching over him.
Today I went to recess. The kids at recess were so happy and so loving! It’s amazing that these kids can show so much love to someone they don’t know!
We also played soccer again with the kids. They are incredibly talented. Back at the church, we painted the girls nails and did their hair, then we painted water color paintings with them. They loved it and we ran out of water color! The coolest part was that the kids were so excited to paint and then gave us the paintings. They are so loving.
We have met so many people and they have made us feel so welcome. It feels like we have been here for weeks. Anyway, I can’t wait to see what else God has in store for us tomorrow.
P.S. The food is delicious.

Hey Carly (aka…Peach) I just had lunch with Heidi Thompson and she asked about you. She prayed for you before we ate lunch. She just got back from Africa and said that she has been praying for you everyday! How awesome is that? You are so very loved by many. Mrs. Heather from Kidstreet asks everyday, “How’s my girl?” We all love you! Continue to shine for HIM! Love you!
Tell my husband I miss and love him too!! I think it’s awesome what you are all doing for The Lord! Praying for you every day, for God’s Holy Spirit to guide and direct your way.
Thank you soooo much! Caitlyn, we all love and miss you very much (especially Ella and Lola!). I had to get Lola some “pick me up treats” today for her mild state of depression. You and your team are in our prayers, and we can’t wait to see you and hear more about your trip in the next few days! Miss you!! Love, momma and daddy
