Greetings from Poland!
We have had a great week here. Each morning we get up early, eat breakfast and then head to work. Coming together with other teams from the United States we then break up into smaller teams to do community service projects. Some have been painting the seats at a public amphitheater, some are painting a chain link fence at a public preschool, some are painting in private apartments, and others are planting shrubbery in another public park.
Our host nation partner, PROeM, wants to show the love of Jesus to the community and many people are amazed that we would come to Poland to do this type of work. In the afternoons we take a group of students to the park to play for a couple of hours while their parents are at work. Some of these children live in harsh circumstances, but they are thrilled at the attention we are giving them.
Today we finished all of the community projects and threw a block party in the park for everyone. There were bouncy houses, grilled polish sausages, games, entertainment, and lots of fun giveaways. Already we are hearing great things from the church leadership. One teacher from the preschool asked about our beliefs and stated that she could see the love of Jesus from our faces. We pray that the little things we have done will have huge Kingdom outcomes!!
