We are sorry for not sending any updates for a few days. Proem, our partner here in Poland has kept us pretty busy and when there has been time to post an update, we have had internet connectivity issues. That being said, we are now in Lodz, where we will be for the next 5 days and will have access to a consistent internet connection. I have posted the updates from the last few days so make sure you read them all to find out what we have been up to this week!
The first thing this morning, our team was invited to a birthday breakfast for our partner Daniel! The food, prepared by Edyta, Daniel’s wife, was amazing! They have a beautiful home next to the Proem Camp. Daniel and Edyta are amazing people with a deep love for Jesus and a mission to spead his name throughout Poland.
After Breakfast we attended the last worship session with the FishArt campers. Fishart is a camp for students who are interested in pursusing any of the arts including fashion, painting, graphic design, videography and many more. We were able to observe the last few days of their camp.
We were also able to take a tour of “Bethlehem” where Proem hosts The Journey (just like the Savannah Christian version) every year. They have a great set up and even have two donkeys that they have named Dave and Kyle after Dave Stewart and Kyle Kixmiller. The Proem team is very light hearted with a great sense of humor.
After the Bethlehem tour we were able to visit the preschool and elementary school that Proem has started in Tomaszow. They are hoping to start a middle school next year and have already put in the proper documentation to start one. All they need is a location and the money to build it. Jabba told us that God had provided many years ago for the camp and that he would provide again if this was his will. They took us to a location that they woudl really like to use for this and we spent time in prayer there asking God for his provision and to reveal his will to Proem.
When we got back we went to the end of camp banquet and then to a newly renovated castle for the closing ceremonies of the camp. There was an art gallery, a fashion show, a fishart video created by the students and much more.
Needless to say by the time we got back to camp we were all pretty tired from a long day.
