What a marvelous time we are having! I feel as if we are being poured into much more than we are pouring out. The camp for young children that we are helping with is going beautifully. What a talented staff they have here. We are having fun playing sports, doing crafts and joining in morning and evening worship.
What an honor to work with counselors who are here from around the world, teaching children skills and more important, about the love of our Lord and Savior. The children are eager to speak English so there are quick to make conversation. On the playground, I heard two little girls singing an American pop song in Polish (“Call Me Maybe”) so I handed them my phone with the song playing. (Disclaimer: My son, not I, downloaded it!) They giggled and starting singing with gusto and dancing.
At meals we’ve been able to talk with the leaders of Proem, who inspire us with the urgency they have to reach their nation for Jesus. In the Proem tech booth, where I was downloading photos today, I got to hear all about documentaries one videographer who works for the mission is making. He is a passionate storyteller eager to capture and share stories of how Jesus changes lives.
The natural beauty of this camp is a constant reminder of our Creator and His love for us. It is all joy!
