We are now laying in bed in the hotel in the Tatra mountain in Slovakia – thanks to Global Outreach’s generous Christmas gift. According to your suggestion we did spend it on us, when we received this check we decided that we would use it for this trip to rest and recuperate after Journey. We thought it would be the perfect culmination of the SCC investment in Polish Journey to Bethlehem and personally to us. Thank you so much for making it happen!!!
So, as we are here for a few hours – we are slowly melting off tension and off the million thoughts going on in our minds – we can now slow down and enjoy this feeling of gratefulness for being part of something great – by God’s grace. We know that everything happened because of your help. Thank you for your help. Thank you for you friendship even more. It means so much to us.
Here are some updates from our Journey:
We had almost 5000 pilgrims and media coverage from many main Polish TV stations, radios and newspapers, but what is much more important than all the numbers and publicity were many personal encounters with our Lord and Savior. We could see it when people were kneeling in that last scene, we could see it in tears in the eyes of hundreds of people and we could hear it in the comments of those who finished Journey.
It can be summarized with words of one elderly lady:
“I have walked on this planet for 82 years and I’ve never seen nor experienced anything like that!”
It was also such a blessings for our volunteers.
When Edyta was saying thank you to one of them – Alicja, who was very involved in Journey, she replied:
“Are you kidding, don’t thank me – I thank you – it was the most wonderful Christmas of my life, we never spent such a great time together as family as this year.” Both her sons and her husband were involved too. She comes to our church with her boys, but her husband does not. But Radek (husband) served 6 out of 7 nights as a Rabbi and he loved it. He memorized all the prophecies about the Messiah and repeated it more than 150 times in this 6 days – we believe that God’s Word will bring fruit in Radek’s life soon.
Another volunteer – Piotr, he is just a guy who came for casting and received Roman soldier role. He didn’t know that his teenage daughter from first marriage will play in Journey as a Mary. He didn’t talk to her for 4 years, because of some family conflict all the connection were totally broken. As he was leading tribes and watching his daughter play Mary, his heart was soften and he decide to rebuild relationship with his daughter. God is working in him.
Most of our volunteers came to our church for Christmas service Sunday morning, all of them want to stay in touch and do more of this with us in future. We strongly believe that inside these volunteers there will be the biggest harvest for God’s Kingdom
One more time God showed us that he is bigger than our dreams and expectations.
20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
