Dear Friends,
Please pray about serious medical needs facing two of our staff. Please share the needs with our donors, friends and any others who may pray and help:
1. MEDICAL REPORT ON PRISCILLA PENI (16 yrs) Priscilla Newman, daughter of John Newman, missionary to the Adele tribe, stationed at Nkwanta developed acute hydrocephalus in 2009, for which she underwent surgery with a VP Shunt in the same year. She improved remarkably after the surgery until July 2012, when she began to have headache and generalized weakness. A repeat CT Scan and MRI shows a tumor of the brain which is suspected to be – Ependymoma or Medulloblastoma . The Doctor is planning for surgery as soon as funds are available. The brain surgery to remove the tumor plus hospital costs is estimated to cost $3000. Travel and other related costs are estimated at $500. Let us all pray for this precious family for strength to face the uncertainties, and for God’s provision through His people to meet the financial needs. The surgeon would operate by February 7, 2013 if the funds are available.
2. Richard Ntim Darko is the two year old son of Sampson and Monica Darko, missionaries to the Achode people and stationed at Keri. Richard fell and broke his right femur while playing with his friends at home. He is now on admission awaiting surgery if attempts to stretch the bone back to place with weights fail. Monica and Sampson are with him at Ho hospital, about 8 hours away from their Keri home. Ironically, Monica broke her own femur in a rain storm accident and underwent multiple surgeries at the same hospital only a few years ago. Hospital and travel costs facing them are about $1000 if there will be no surgery, but twice that if surgery becomes ultimate.
Let us pray for and help these precious families. Thanks.
