The SCC Disaster Relief Team has made it to Brooklyn, New York where they will be spending a week working with Operation Blessing (www.ob.org) to assist families affected by Hurricane Sandy. They left Savannah Sunday morning as the sun rose and arrived at the church where they will be staying this week around 10pm that evening. Today is their first day at a work site and they are ready to go! Jeri Rose, one of the team members shared in an email this morning that on the ride to the site they started to play the song ‘Our God’ and the whole bus started singing! “We are filled with the Lord’s will and ready to serve!” she said. Be praying for this team as they minister today and keep an eye out for updates throughout the week…
