I know I haven’t blogged in awhile but its definitely been for good reason. Last week Ecuador 3 arrived from Savannah! I couldn’t have asked for better timing or a better group! The joy of seeing old friends as well as sparking new friendships! It was so cool to see students who I used to lead in middle school now joining me in Ecuador! The level of leadership that I saw out of all the students last week made me proud to have been apart of their life and proud to share this part of life with them! Its one thing to see an adult come here and serve but to see students give up a week of their summer and especially students you have invested years into brings tears to my eyes! Ecuador 3 is the prime example of why I enjoyed giving up my Saturdays and Sundays in high school so that I could hangout with middle schoolers and the prime example of why I can’t wait to people able to have the greatest job ever and so that full time one day! Thanks to all of you for letting me be apart of your life not just this week but the last five years! Saturday Ecuador 2 arrived! These guys have been through so much after not even knowing if they could come after the dengue outbreak but I could not be more satisfied with there attitudes! They very easily could’ve limped in here hoping to get this over with and move on but they have yet to complain and have stepped up in more ways than I could’ve ever imagined! I love seeing faces of people seeing Ecuador for the first time and the faces of people returning to a place that feels like home to them! This week is only half way through but I can already tell that God has put this group of people here at this specific time for a specific purpose and so does the team which is making this week more incredible than anyone could’ve expected! Thanks everyone who’s reading! A little under two weeks left I will post a few more times and put more pictures up but until then thank you for the thoughts and prayers!
