All,
It has been an exciting day! Students are arriving today. The maintenance crew (Carol,Jeff & Kelsey) has been busy all morning giving the grounds a good sprucing up, to have the best face on for the students arrival. The kitchen crew (Mikki,Pat,& Susan)has been hard at it all day preparing a Thanksgiving feast for the first dinner meal. Preparations for desert started 2 days ago with the baking of real pumpkins, for yes, you guessed it homemade pumpkin pie. And Housekeeping crew has been preparing rooms and cleaning common areas.
After dinner we had a welcome meeting for the students. The opening songs & the closing prayer were a glimpse of heaven with several different languages being sung at once and several different languages giving the closing praying. It brought tears to my eyes! The sun has set and I am already looking forward to tomorrow!
Blessings from Austria

Today was a busy day for our team. Jeff worked on the bridge crossing the creek into the woods. Carol and I dug up and transplanted trees on the grounds. Susan, Mikki, and Pat were busy in the kitchens cooking meals for the staff and students. They also made delicious apple strudel for our volunteer appreciation reception tonight. The fabulous staff at Haus Edelweiss threw us a wonderful reception with lots of chocolate and apple strudel. It was a great day!
God Bless
Kelsey
