Our team got a prayer send off from Savannah on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. It is now 24 hours later and we have been at Haus Edelweiss for a little over 6 hours now. The flights all went very well with no difficulties in transitions or luggage, Praise the Lord! Our team has had many conversations along the way. This team signed up for this trip a year ago and are excited to finally be here. Our first meeting was tonight where we all learned how to host a table. This is a vital part of serving here as we must keep the meal moving along so that the students and professors can stay on their tight schedule. This is also the time where we get the opportunity to talk to the students, translators and professors and truly get to know them. We had our first meeting tonight and have met our other short and long term workers. They come from Arizona, Kentucky, Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska and Australia! Whew!! It was also so great reconnecting with the staff. I love them like family and looking forward to conversations that will be had.
We are all pretty much drained from lack of sleep but very excited to see what God will show us over the next several days.
