Hello from Ukraine!
Yesterday we started clinics for the week. Every year our partners here at Kherson Christian Church(KCC) try to make the best use of the time as we continue our partnership in ministry, and the year is no different. Even though we were at the church for the first Half of the day, everyone one was scattered for different tasks. Bill worked all day with the tech/production team to make adjustment to the church’s sound system. Andrew, Holly, and Ray were busy conducting a 3 hour First Aide class. Ryan and I saw patients for “recommendations” during doctors’ hours at the church. After lunch with the church staff, we dispersed again. Except this time half of us headed out to one of the surrounding villages for more clinics. It is always encouraging to see KCC leverage their resources to partner and support the churches in the smaller villages in order to create an opportunity to present the Gospel. These passionate pastors use these opportunities to mobilize their church body and to invite the community to a Christ-centered clinic. Meanwhile, Ray and Andrew met with some folks from the Red Cross. Bill continued to turn knobs at the sound booth with the tech team, but more importantly he was able to pour into the volunteers in this ministry. It is awesome to see God using each person, and all to serve with the Ukrainians. Our prayer moving forward in the week is that we will say yes to whatever opportunity that the Lord presents. We look forward to the adventure of trusting faithfully in Him.

So exciting to see what you’re doing in one of my favorite countries in the world. After spending about a half a year there in 2007, Ukraine holds a special place in my heart. I envy both the work you’re getting to do AND the chance to be in the place you’re getting to do it. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to to meeting some of you and hearing lots of stories upon your return.
