What an amazing place! The campus of JAARS is home and/or part of the mission field for a variety of servants of Christ. Everyone here cares deeply about getting the Bible translated in hard to reach people’s heart, or mother, language. Each one does their part, in a miriad of different ways like administration, linguistics, technology, aviation, architecture, communication, maintenance, just to name a few. They all work to complete the mission of translating the word of God in every tongue, of every people group, everywhere.
We found out that most if not all people at JAARS aren’t employed, but financially supported to be able to work here. Everyone we meet is a missionary! Some even officially retired, but come back to volunteer. A real need is for younger people to begin filling vacancies, and back-filling positions as people retire or, for age or health reasons, cannot continue their current roles.
Please pray for those that are raising support to begin their mission work, and for those that are currently supported to continue having their needs met. Pray for the word of God to spread and change lives as they read and hear the Word of God in their tongue. Pray for the work and the workers, as this most important work is nearing completion it is increasingly more opposed.
Thank you for your support,
-S. Barrett
