Today we started out the day with worship and prayer time. This was important as we are waiting for the students to all arrive. There is definitely excitement in the air about their arrival and the teaching and learning that will be going on. It was so inspirational to hear a room full of people praying for what would happen this week. Every day I gain a better understanding of the importance of the work that is going on in Haus Edelweiss.
Our work in the kitchen is happy and enlightening. We learn from Theo continually and it truly fills our hearts with joy. We started the morning with our own devotion and prayer. Theo challenged us to keep a running conversation with God throughout the day. We also learned about Latvia and the Czech Republic and were additionally challenged to find the two students from those countries and introduce ourselves.
The students have been arriving all day and we are looking forward to meeting everyone this evening. Our first interactions will be at dinner. Interestingly enough, one of the students who sat at my table was the person from Latvia.
After dinner we worshiped our Lord with song and prayer. It was quite humbling to hear all the prayers in different languages prayer to our one true God. Our day ended with the most amazing gift of love from our leader Pat.
Thank you Jesus for these gifts.

Who would think of walking across America to take Jesus to homes? Well, I have had an opportunity to meet the man who did. Jim Buckley is one of the professors who is teaching this session at TCM. Amazingly, he and his wife were filmed during the journey by Samaritan’s Purse and he was encouraged to write a book which he did, “Walking Across America: One Step at a Time.”
This is truly a place full of many different stories and this is only the beginning.
