Kenny!

What an amazing start to our day to be greeted by Kenny!  For the “newbies”; he was the first resident we met; for others, he was a familiar face.  His energy and excitement were contagious!  He had us smiling, laughing, and the recipients of many hugs.   Now it was time to get to work.  We were well fed – physically by our team members that cooked a delicious breakfast and spiritually by a devotion led by Linda V.   Taking our list of projects we all got to work. We had the pleasure of talking and interacting with many of the residents throughout the beautiful fall day.  The best part of the day was when all of us – residents, staff and our team – were worshiping God through song.  We were soaking in the joy flowing from each resident by their singing and/or facial expressions.  We experienced worship as never before for most of us.  We have been blessed beyond measure and it is only the first day!
