What a tremendous week we are having! Today has included service projects like all of the previous days, as well as a few treats. All team members who chose to participate were given a flight in a Cessna 206. A gentleman named Bruce was the pilot. After the flights were over, we learned that Bruce received his pilot’s license as a junior in high school, in 1973, and has spent his entire career with JAARS!
In the afternoon, our team was offered rides on the 4×4 training course here at the facility. On this course, missionaries are trained to drive 4 wheel drive vehicles across various terrains they will encounter on the mission field.
This evening we served dinner at the senior center. The small blessing we offered them is nothing in comparison to the blessing of their testimonies – stories of obedience and faith.
All across the campus there are individuals of all ages who have given their life to see the Bible put in the hands of all nations, tribes and tongues. Just today we met someone who discerned God’s call to missions at the age of 9, and another individual who received the call in his 50’s! We have been in the presence of true servants, and our true desire is to be changed because of it!
