CCDM, so far, has been such a great experience. the residents are beyond kind and joyful. A few of my personal favorite experiences are watching some students play checkers with a resident named Brian, singing with all of them and watching them dance around, and making a bracelet for George the stuffed monkey. I’m elated for the few days ahead but I am dreading leaving. I love Riverwood and the work we’ve done here, and I can’t wait to see how God will use us here in the next few days.

I have many memories from last year at CCDM, but I know that I should come here without expectations. All of the residences at Riverwood are very lovely and are still as happy as last year. I and two women had the chore to clean a stain on a carpet with a machine I have never used. The machine stopped working and dirty water splashed on me. We all had a laugh and served today. Many students played basketball with three residents and watched them play. Today I served and had lots of fun. But I cannot hang on today’s experiences, for tomorrow will be another day.
