I have to take a minute and tell you about some great guys I have had the privilege of meeting here. My roommate, Frank- what a great guy. He is 73 and has painted and really improved the look of almost the whole campus. He has worked as a painter for 46 years. He directed over 100 painters on large projects in Arizona. Frank is now on staff at Christ Church of the Valley in Phoenix, Arizona.
Friday after working here mostly outside for 13 days straight he is going straight to the pro ball field at home to camp out with 2 of his grandsons. He loves working for the Lord and says God gives him the energy he needs.
Oleg (I cannot spell or say his last name) is from Russia. He is in training through TCM to get his degree to pastor in Russia. He says there are few people that are Christian in Moscow. He struggled to get here, as most all the teams did. His was made a little harder because his teenage daughter has cancer. Very emotionally he ask for me to pray for her; I told him I would love to every day. I also ask for you to pray; her name is Sasha. She obviously is the love of his life. In his words, “I know through prayer God can heal her”.
We have had a total of 75 people here working for this period. They have worked us hard for 12+ hours and feed us well. I thank God for this time. I hope we blessed the students a tenth of how they blessed us.
The time we have spent at TCM in Austria has been quite an experience. When you come looking for something and find much more and it is all for God, you know that he is pleased. The students, teachers, staff and volunteers have shown a great respect for each other and the goal to reach as many people as possible for the kingdom. The professors, most who hold a Ph.D., work hard to properly train pastors in their work.
I have been very pleased to see many young pastors and families in the work. It shows we have a future and it is as bright as our Lord.
We are all tired from our work but we are NOT disappointed in what we have seen and done. Thank God for TCM, the beautiful surroundings and the dedicated staff.
