The group arrived last night around 2am (3am EST) on the bus from Guayaquil Airport. Everyone got settled into a bed, bunk, or hammock and tried to unpack a bit. We were all very tired from the full travel day but excited to finally make it. This morning we all ate a little later for breakfast to give us an extra hour of sleep. Jeanette and Maria prepared a beautiful buffet of eggs, fruit and cheese. The only thing more soothing than the ocean breeze blowing through these bamboo walls is the overwhelming presence of the Holy Spirit. God is in this place! As we reflect on our morning devotion taken from a line in the “oceans” song which says “You call me out upon the waters, the great unknown where my feet may fail. And there I find you in the mystery in oceans deep, my faith will stand”. I am so humbled to be a part of this experience. And so excited to watch where God will take our feet today.
